Florida Tech Presents Vendor Fair Aug. 12-13
Orientation Week Event Has Featured Retailers, Hotels, Phone Providers
MELBOURNE, FLA. — Florida Institute of Technology is offering an opportunity for vendors in the Brevard County area to display their services during the university’s Orientation Week.
The outdoor fair will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 12 and Aug. 13 in Panther Plaza off Country Club Drive on Florida Tech’s Melbourne campus. Set-up starts at 9 a.m.
The vendor fee of $150 covers both days and includes a 10-foot by 10-foot space, one 8-foot table and two chairs. The event will be held rain or shine.
During this busy week, Florida Tech will welcome more than 4,600 new and returning students and their parents back to campus. In the past, representatives of hotels, cell phone providers, retail vendors and local attractions presented at the fair.
For the first time, restaurants will be allowed to participate. While they are prohibited from selling food or beverages, they may give out promotional items and coupons or offer activities for student and parents.
