About Us

Community Revitalization Alliance, Inc. (CReA) is a Palm Bay nonprofit that helps residents lead the revitalization of their own neighborhoods. We elevate resident voices and empower people to become leaders and change agents in their own communities. Inspired by the evidence based Purpose Built Communities model for neighborhood revitalization, CReA works alongside neighborhood leaders in Northeast Palm Bay and Historic South Melbourne, including Driskell Heights, Powell Subdivision, Gramling Park, Booker Heights, Briarwood Park, Founders Town, and Sunset.

Founded in 2015, CReA operates the Evans Center for Collaboration at 1361 Florida Ave NE. Many neighbors still call it the Evans Center, and CReA is transforming it into a resident driven hub for career training, health resources, small business support, and neighborhood planning.

Programs at the Evans Center include:
Developing Leaders, a year round STEAM, entrepreneurship, and leadership program for teens ages 12 to 17
Healthcare preparatory training with METCA for students pursuing HHA, CNA, LPN, and RN careers
Community Health Worker training for local residents
Small business support, including SBA business workshops, virtual office service, and dedicated desk space
Affordable event space in the Evans Community Room and The Village Café

Coming January 2027: workforce training in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, facilities maintenance, crane and rigging, and healthcare.
