On October 9–10, 2025, New Life Mission and CITA Rescue Mission will bring a nationwide initiative, Conversations on a Bench, to Melbourne. For 24 hours, Amy Lyon (CEO of New Life Mission) and Buddy Morrow (CEO of CITA Rescue Mission) will sit outside 407 E New Haven Ave to host open conversations with community members, leaders, and graduates about the challenges of homelessness, addiction, and mental health.
The event will be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube, connecting Brevard to cities across North America engaging in the same dialogue. The goal is to create space for listening, collaboration, and innovative solutions while shining a light on the needs and opportunities within our community.
